What are cut-off dates?

Cut-off dates are the monthly deadlines by which changes regarding payments to Team Members should be requested and approved in the Oyster platform to reflect the change in the effective month.

Team Members affected by cut-off dates

  • EOR team members (sometimes called Permanent or Full-time employees)
  • Fixed Contractors

Cut-off dates for payroll changes depend on how the Team Member was hired.

General cut off dates
Hire Type Cut-Off Date
Direct Hire

(starting January 2026) 15th of the month for all countries, 

except for Sweden, Switzerland and the Philippines 10th of the month

Indirect Hire

6th or 10th of the month
Exception: Colombia on the 2nd of the month

(requirements are set by our in-country partner)

Some Countries have two cycles in one month:
  • Mexico
    • 1st Semi-cycle: 2nd of the month.
    • 2nd Semi-cycle: 17th of the month.
