No, you do not have to track your Team Member's national public holidays: the Oyster Platform has an integrated country-specific public holidays calendar.
Some regional and local holidays are not mentioned. Team Members can request time off for a regional or local public holiday and the time off is not deducted from their vacation balance. We recommend talking with your Team Members to ensure everyone is on the same page and to avoid any confusion about time off.
If your Team Member's time off request includes a public holiday, the public holiday is not deducted from their vacation balance. Team Members can't submit a time off request containing only a public holiday.
For example:
- Tuesday, August 15th is a public holiday
- Your Team Member requests 5 days off: August 14 to August 18
