How do I offboard a Payroll Team Member?

How do I submit an offboarding request?

Navigate to the profile of the Payroll Team Member you wish to offboard by clicking on Team > Team members and selecting the Team Member’s profile.

From the profile view, click on the offboarding tab and review the disclaimer.

Click on Request payroll offboarding to initiate the process. Complete all three steps of the form and submit your request.

What happens after I submit an offboarding request?

An email will be shared with you to summarize the offboarding request, and once again once the request has been completed by Oyster Staff. 

Our team will proceed with processing the final payout for the terminated Payroll Team Member as per the information you provided in the request form. 

Please note that cut-off dates apply when offboarding a Payroll Team Member. If a termination request is made after the cut-off dates, the final payout will be processed the next month. Learn more about cut-off dates here.

Can I cancel an offboarding request? 

Yes, you can request canceling an offboarding request if the termination date hasn’t been reached or the offboarding status is not completed. To request the cancellation of an offboarding request, navigate to the profile of the Payroll Team Member you submitted an offboarding request for by clicking on Team > Team Member and selecting the Team Member’s profile. 

From the profile view, click on the offboarding tab and you’ll be able to view the offboarding request. To request cancellation, click cancel request

A pop up will appear where you have the option of adding the reason for canceling the offboarding request so that our team can evaluate and process this request promptly. Click Confirm cancellation request to proceed. Our team will review your request and confirm once completed.
