How do I approve or reject a time off request?

This article shows you how to approve a time off request from a Team Member. 

In the Oyster platform 

Prerequisites

  • You have Admin, Team Manager or Time Off Admin access to your company’s account.
  • You are logged in to the Oyster Platform with your credentials.

Steps 

  1. Click Team > Time off from the left navigation.
  2. Click the Filter button and de-select all options except Pending
  1. Review the Request type, Reason, and Notes.
  2. Click the Actions button.
  3. Select Approve or Reject, as appropriate.
    • The Team Member receives an email notification.

Via the email notification

Prerequisites

  • You are an Admin, Team Manager or Time Off Admin for your company.
  • You received an email notification indicating that a Team Member has submitted a time off request.
  • You have the email open.

Steps 

  • To approve the time off request: click Approve Request
  • To reject the time off request: click Reject Request
  • The Team Member receives an email notification.

 

Via the Slack notification

Prerequisites

  • You are an Admin, Team Manager or Time Off Admin for your company.
  • You have a Slack integration enabled
  • You received a Slack notification indicating that a Team Member has submitted a time off request.
  • You have the Slack notification open.

Steps 

  • To approve the time off request: click Approve Request
  • To reject the time off request: click Reject Request
  • To see more details about the time off request in-app: click View Request
  • The Team Member receives an email notification.
