Oyster provides four types of reports for global payroll customers: gross to net report, variance report, and payments instructions or funding instructions report.
- Gross to Net Report: This is a globally standardized report that contains all gross and net payroll information of an entity for a payroll cycle including gross salary, allowances, bonuses, net salary, employer and employee tax contributions, other employee deductions, etc.
When is this report issued?
This report is issued once the payroll cycle is processed and the draft version of this report is shared with the customer for review and approval.
Where can I find this report?
In the Documents history section within each payroll cycle. - Variance Report: This is another globally standardized report that compares the local gross and net payroll information for the current payroll cycle with the previous payroll cycle and shows its results as a variance. This report is used by our payroll managers and is sent to you for month over month payroll comparisons.
When is this report issued?
This report is issued once the payroll cycle is processed and the draft version of this report is shared with the customer for review and approval
Where can I find this report?
If the payroll cycle is in progress, you’ll be able to view and download this report by clicking Review payroll in the payroll cycle view.
If you have already approved payroll for a particular cycle, you will still be able to view and download the same variance data by scrolling down to the bottom of the payroll page and Documents history. - Payment Instructions Report: This is a local report that Oyster sends to you in locations where you execute the payroll payments. You can use this payment instructions file to make the necessary payroll payments to the right recipient. It can include net salary amounts, taxes and statutory amounts and pension amounts depending on the payment model that you’re following with Oyster.
When is this report issued?
This report is only issued for entities for which the customer has to process part or all of the payroll payments. It is issued after the customer approves the payroll data for a specific payroll cycle.
Where can I find this report?
In the Documents history section within each payroll cycle. - Funding Instructions Report: This is a globally standard report that Oyster sends to you when Oyster executes payroll payments on your behalf. You can use this funding instructions file to make the funding payments to Oyster, so that Oyster can then make the necessary payroll payments on your behalf. It can include a sum of net salary amounts, taxes / statutory amounts and pension amounts depending on the payment model that you’re following with Oyster.
When is this report issued?
This report is only issued for entities for which Oyster has to take care of part or all of the payroll payments. It is issued after the customer approves the payroll data for a specific payroll cycle.
Where can I find this report?
In the Documents history section within each payroll cycle.
