How do I view my payroll data?

Whenever payroll is processed for a particular cycle, you’ll be able to view and approve the data directly in the platform. 

Locating your payroll data 

  1. From the left navigation, select Pay and click Payroll
  2. Use the dropdown menu to select the entity you’d like to view payroll data for.
  3. Select the payroll cycle you’d like to view payroll data for.
  4. In the payroll cycle view, click Review payroll.
  5. From this page, you’ll be able to review and download the payroll data, request corrections if needed, and approve payroll once ready.
  6. If you have already approved payroll for a particular cycle, you will still be able to view and download the same variance data by scrolling down to the bottom of the payroll page and clicking on Payroll breakdown.

Understanding your payroll data

You’ll be able to see a summary of your payroll data for each cycle, a breakdown of your payroll data per Team Member, as well as the variance in payroll data in comparison to the previous payroll cycle.

Payroll summary: 

  • Headcount: total number of engaged payroll team members for this payroll cycle. 
  • Total payroll cost: the total cost of all payroll items for all engaged payroll team members this payroll cycle.
    Total take home pay: total net salaries for all engaged payroll team members for this cycle. 

Payroll breakdown by team member: 

  • Team member: the name of the payroll team member. 
  • Base pay: the base salary, including 13th and 14th month pay if applicable, for the specified payroll team member. 
  • Benefits: benefit contributions by the employer.  
  • Allowances: allowances paid by the employer. 
  • Expenses: employer approved expenses.
  • Pay addition: bonuses, commissions, and ad hoc allowances paid by the employer. 
  • Employee deductions: amounts deducted from the team member’s gross salary for taxes, benefit contributions, garnishments, etc.
  • Take home pay: the team member’s net salary after all employee deductions. 
  • Employer-only costs: statutory amounts owed by the employer including federal / state / provincial / county / city / township taxes, contributions to social security and pension / retirement / unemployment funds, workers comp, disability and health, etc.
  • TM (Team Member) Payroll cost: sum of employee gross salary, any additional gross payroll elements, and employer contributions.

Payroll variance:

  • For all payroll components, you’ll be able to see a percentage (positive, negative, or zero) to indicate the change in the amount in comparison to the previous payroll cycle.

  • Click on any payroll item to know the local component and to view the the previous and the current amount. 

You can always download the variance report to get a more granular view of the data and to validate any field before proceeding with approval.
