How do I delegate managing pension funds to Oyster for Payroll Team Members?

The delegation process differs for each pension fund. Generally speaking, you will need to log in to the pension portal and authorize access for Oyster or add Oyster as a delegate.

Below are guidelines for specific pension funds. Additional provider-specific guides will be added. 

Smart Pension

Use the instructions below to allow Oyster to access your company pension scheme.

  1. Sign in to your Smart Pension account and go to Company Details. 
  2. Select Manage Advisers. The next screen will allow you to select the Manage Invitations page within the Actions menu. After clicking on Manage Invitation, the list of all your invitation links will be shown. 
  3. Press the blue Create Adviser Invitation to generate a new invitation link.
  4. Once the invitation URL has been created, you can send an invitation to the adviser by clicking on the envelope icon under the Actions column.

NEST

In Nest, payroll providers are typically added as a "Delegate organization" by the employer. To add a delegate organization, you will need the following:

  1. Log in to your NEST account. 
  2. From your NEST home page, click on Manage delegates.
  3. Then click Add a new delegate and select Add organization.
  4. Enter the name of the organization and delegate organization ID and click Find organization (you can obtain Oyster’s ID from our onboarding team). 
  5. Click Confirm if the organization details are accurate.
  6. Choose the level of access you want to grant to the delegate organization.
  7. You will see a summary of the details you’ve entered. Click Confirm if the details are correct or Edit to make any corrections.
  8. Once the organization is added as a delegate, they will receive a notification in their secure NEST mailbox, informing them of their access to your account.
