If Oyster doesn’t have an integration that you need then you can look at using Zapier to connect Oyster to the the tools that you need. Zapier is a visual automation tool; enabling people to create powerful automations without having to write code.
Some of the use cases that Zapier enables is the ability to:
- Sync Time Off requests from Oyster to other HR platforms such as FactorialHR
- Sync new employees being added to Oyster to internal databases or spreadsheets such as Airtable or Google Sheets.
The integration is free for all Oyster customers to use.
How Zapier works
Zapier allows you to create "Zaps", which are workflows that connect your apps. Each Zap has a "trigger" and an "action." The trigger is the event that starts a Zap, and the action is the event the Zap performs. You can see what triggers and actions the Oyster Zapier app supports in the "Supported triggers and actions" section of Oyster's Zapier listing.
Tip: triggers are things that happen in the Oyster app and can then trigger actions in other apps (i.e. pushing data or actions from Oyster), while actions are things that you can perform on the Oyster app via Zapier (i.e. pushing data or actions to Oyster).
