Personio | Obtaining your Client ID and Client Secret

In this article, we help you obtain your Personio Client ID and Secret.

Prerequisites

  • You have completed Steps 1-5 of Connecting Personio to Oyster
  • You have Admin access to your company’s Personio account.
  • You are logged in to Personio with your Admin credentials.

Steps

  1. Click Settings in the bottom left corner.
  2. Find the Integrations section and click API credentials.

  1. Click Create custom integration.

  1. Enter a name for the integration.
  2. Click Next.

  1. Check the Read checkbox for 
    • Employees
    • Attendances
    • Absences
    • Org Units
  2. Under Readable employee attributes, select the following attributes:
  • First name
  • Last name
  • Email
  • Gender
  • Status
  • Employment type
  • Hire date
  • Termination date
  • Termination type
  • Termination reason
  • Probation period end
  • Office
  • Department
  • Fixed salary
  • Salary interval
  • Hourly salary
  • Position
  • Birth date
  • Salary type
  • Employee ID
  • Marital status
  • Personal email
  • Address
  • Postcode
  • City
  • Nationality

  1. Your API credentials will populate. Copy and save these in a secure place!
  1. Return to the Personio integration in your Oyster account and add your Client ID and Client Secret.
