Difference between banks and payment providers
Payment systems and banking providers emulate the features of bank accounts provided by banking institutions, however, their scope of service tends to be narrower and they do not have the same capacity as banking institutions.
Below is a sample list of some payment systems/banking providers. Please note that the list only contains common examples. If your payment method is not included in the above list and you would like to further verify whether it is supported or not, please reach out to our Support team.
Reason for unsupported payment providers
Although these payment systems may provide similar services as bank institutions, they unfortunately do not have the capacity to process the transfer of payment methods that Oyster uses in order to pay your salary. This often results in payments bouncing back to Oyster, and thus inconveniently delaying your salary payment.
It is in your best interest to provide a supported bank account created in a bank institution to ensure that you receive your salary payments without unnecessary delays.
