Please remember that Oyster can support any bank to ensure your payments are received quickly. However, payment systems and banking providers are not supported as payment methods.
Difference between banks and payment providers
Payment systems and banking providers emulate the features of bank accounts provided by banking institutions. However, their scope of service tends to be narrower, and they have a different capacity than banking institutions.
Below is a sample list of some payment systems/banking providers. So as you know, the list only contains common examples. If your payment method is not included in the list and you want to verify whether it is supported, please contact our Support team.
- Payoneer
- Wise
- Merkuri
- PayPal
- Square
- Remitly
- Revolut (data has to be in a banking format, IBAN, SWIFT/BIC)
Reason for unsupported payment providers
Although these payment systems may provide similar services as bank institutions, they need more capacity to process the transfer of payment methods that Oyster uses to pay your salary. This often results in payments bouncing back to Oyster, thus inconveniently delaying your compensation payment.
I would appreciate it if you could provide a supported bank account created in a bank institution to ensure you receive your salary payments without unnecessary delays.
