As per Article 86 of Book III - Conditions of Employment from the Bureau of Labor Relations in the Philippines, every employee shall be paid a night shift differential of not less than 10% of the regular wage for each hour of work performed between 10:00 pm to 6:00 am Philippine Standard Time.

NOTE: This is a government website and external to Oyster.

Steps

The Oyster platform is in continuous development and will soon have the capability to track country-specific schedules. In the meantime, we would need to track this internally. Below are the steps to follow to ensure that payments made are correct.

  • A monthly timesheet will be sent to the Team Member between the 20th to the 22nd of each month. The form will contain a tick box for Nightshift which should be checked if work rendered falls between 10:00 pm to 6:00 am.
  • A reminder will be sent each month to fill up the timesheet, as well as submit any time-off request on the platform
  • Team Members should submit timesheets no later than the 7th of the following month.
  • Once received and verified, the records will be sent to our local partner, and invoice approval will be submitted to the customer company before the 13th of each month. Non-approval may cause payment delays.
