What contracts will I be signing during my onboarding?

As part of your onboarding onto the Oyster platform, you will need to sign five contracts which will enable us to process your employment effectively. 

Employment Agreement with Oyster

This contract contains the terms governing your employment with Oyster and the provision of services to the Oyster’s customer you are assigned to. The contract spells out information regarding aspects of your employment such as: 

  • Duties
  • Compensation
  • Holiday
  • Benefits

Remote Work Contract

This contract contains information and agreements between you and the Oyster customer organization you will be providing services. This contract spells out specific information relating to :

  • Work schedule (hours)
  • Work expectations
  • Work equipment
  • Remote work expenses

Confidentiality and Intellectual Property Agreement

This contract contains the terms governing the required confidentiality and the intellectual property generated during your provision of services to the Oyster Customer. The contract spells out information regarding:

  • Confidentiality
    • What is Confidential?
    • What are the Team Member’s Obligations?
    • What if there is a Disclosure?
  • Intellectual Property 
    • What are IP Rights and Works?
    • What happens in specific IP related situations?

Restrictive Covenant Agreement 

This contract contains terms and agreements governing employee conduct in relation to Oyster or Oyster’s customer organization after termination or resignation. This contract spells out three restrictions for Team Members:

  • Non-solicitation of employees
  • Non-solicitation of customers
  • Non-competition

Termination of Contract

This contract contains terms and agreements governing the activities of both Oyster and Team Members in case of a termination of employment. The contract spells out information regarding termination processes such as the return of company property.

 

Note: These contracts will be made available to you before your start date. After you have read them and agreed, please sign them accordingly.
