If I am employed by Oyster am I considered an independent contractor?

No. When you have an employment contract, you are a full-time employee of the local entity (which may be either Oyster or one of our partners), and you operate as a remote team member at your Company.

This means you do not need to worry about setting up your own business, filing tax returns, hiring accountants, etc. You can take advantage of your local social security benefits and enjoy the protection of full-time and permanent employment.
