HiBob | API Key & Access Token Authentication

In this article, we help you obtain an API Key from HiBob so you can connect your HiBob account to your Oyster account.

Prerequisites

  • You have completed Steps 1-6 of Connecting HiBob to Oyster
    • You selected to authenticate via API Key or Access Token 
  • You have Admin access to your company’s HiBob account.
  • You are logged in to HiBob with your admin credentials.

Steps

  1. In HiBob, click on your avatar in the upper-right corner.
  2. Select API Access.
  1. Click Copy Token.
  2. Select all Approved scopes and click Save.

    At a minimum, you must select the following permissions:

    • Full employee read

    • Employee fields read

    • Time-off submit request & read who's out
  1. Return to the HiBob integration in your Oyster account.
  2. Paste the copied token in the HiBob API Key text field.
  3. Click Submit.

HiBob is now integrated with Oyster and appears on the My integrations tab.
