An admin can complete a self-service contract change flow for direct Team Members in the following countries:
- Canada (All provinces other than Quebec)
- Denmark
- India
- Ireland
- Singapore
- Sweden
- UK
- US
- Netherlands
Steps
- Sign in to the Oyster platform from your administrator account and find the specific Team Member by clicking Team on the menu on the left side of the screen.
- Navigate to the Employment tab connected to the Team Member in question, and click on the Request Contract Change button.
- Select the required changes and set the effective date.

- Once you set the effective date, a banner will pop up with the date when these changes will be applied and will show if there is a one-off bonus payment.
- The applicable date shown is based on the effective date of the request you selected and the next payroll cut-off date (10th of the effective month for Direct Team Members).
- If anything other than the 1st of the month is selected as the effective date, the applicable date will automatically move to the next payroll cycle as Oyster does not currently support partial month salary increases. A one-off bonus payment will be created to cover the difference of the partial month.
- If the requested effective date is in the past, Oyster will calculate the closest date this change can be applied and provide a one-off bonus payment to cover for the period between your requested effective date and the applied date.
- Once you set the effective date, a banner will pop up with the date when these changes will be applied and will show if there is a one-off bonus payment.
4. Click on ‘Save & continue’ to move to the next page, where the details of the selected changes can be entered.
5. Once all changes have been entered, click on ‘Confirm’ and a pop-up asking you to start the amendment now or later will be displayed.
6. When you start the amendment process, the platform will generate an Employment Agreement Amendment draft.
7. Once the amendment document is ready, click on 'Preview & Verify' and review the details of the document.
8. If all the details appear accurate, click on 'Verify Amendment' on the bottom right corner.
9. To send the Employment Agreement Amendment to the Team Member for signature, click on 'Share'. A pop-up will appear here as a reminder to confirm that the Team Member’s email address is valid.

If the Team Member does not sign the Employment Agreement Amendment, you can send reminders directly from the flow in the platform. Click on 'Send reminder' or follow-up with them internally to sign the amendment. It is important that this is completed before the expiration date for this change to be applied.

10. Once the Employment Agreement Amendment is signed, the request’s status will move from 'Requested' to 'Scheduled' and then 'Applied' depending when the effective date is met.
11. The Service Agreement will be updated automatically on the platform on the applicable date.
