1. How will health benefits be transferred?

  • Any team Members currently enrolled in SafetyWing/IMG/Allianz will continue to be enrolled there.
  • Any discretionary benefits (lunch vouchers, work from home, vacation days, etc.) will be reflected in the new Employment Agreements.
  • Team Members will have the ability to set up their own Private Pension accounts with PFA, TopDanmark, and Danica & Heap and have their funds deposited there (Team Members with existing accounts with other providers will have their eligibility evaluated on a case-by-case basis).

2. What will happen to any accrued holidays and RTT?

Any unused holidays that are equivalent to or lesser than 5 days as of Dec 31, 2022, will be carried over to Oyster and Team Members will be able to use them while employed by Oyster’s own entity. The law in Denmark requires companies to pay out accrued/unused holidays if they exceed beyond 5 days as of Dec 31 every year. If you have team members in Denmark employed by an Oyster partner and if that team member had more than 5 unused holidays as of Dec 31, 2022, then these unused holidays will need to be paid out by you. Oyster will generate an invoice and share with you.

3. What is the process to transfer my Denmark team's employment from the third-party employer and onboarding them into an Oyster-owned entity?

The process can be found here.

4.What will happen with respect to Health Checks?

No health checks are needed.

5. Will my team's payroll be impacted?

There will be no changes on the payroll front.

6. Will my team have to go through a probation period since they are signing a new agreement?

No, probation will be waived for your team in Denmark.

7. Will any severance pay need to be paid out?

No. Severance pays are not required to be paid to the Team Member upon migration from GTS to Oyster’s own entity.
